Skin & Hair Techniques Class

with Copic Educator, Michelle Houghton

Friday, June 1

   6 to 9pm, $30

 We will use images from Art Impressions and My Favorite Things to practice multiple skin tones, talk about where to put your darker layers on faces and 4-6 ways to color hair. 

The class will include three hours of instruction. You will receive images to color on, a handout with color photo step outs and Skin and Hair charts to start collecting your favorite skin/hair Copic combinations on. 

Michelle will bring everything including Copic Markers for you to use during class, but if you decide to bring your own please mark them well so they do not get mixed up with class sets.

Michelle Houghton started teaching Copic classes on-line 10 years ago and then worked 4 years for Imagination International, Inc. as one of their Regional Copic Certification and Workshop Instructors. She has been running the on-line Copic In The Craft Room on  Facebook and YouTube for 4 years and has started her own Copic weekend events called Copic College which will be held at Stamp Fever in September.

Ever wanted to give mixed media a go but had no idea how to get started? Join us a as Debi Adams teaches a variety of applications to working in mixed media. Using tags as our substrate, we will learn about collage-making, paint application, layering, misting, stencils and mark making. This is the perfect class if you have little or no experience in abstract art. Debi’s relaxed teaching style encourages lots of messy playing, experimenting and exploration. With a few tips, you can feel successful in creating this type of art that has your fingerprints all over it.

Flower Power

Stamp Fever is excited to have artist and designer Debi Adams in the shop teaching three different card styles using Hero Arts® Florals Nasturium set. Debi has been in the crafting industry for many years and has worked with designers Tim Holtz, Seth Apter, and Brenda Walton, just to name a few. She brings a fresh new approach to extending the life of stamp sets. We will dabble in alcohol inks, gold leafing and dimensional elements.
