September News

News Flash-------
Stamp Fever will be closed September 3 - 5 for the Labor Day Weekend! Linda is taking some well-deserved time off. She will be back on Tuesday the 6th with normal store hours.

There is a new CALENDAR page posted, you can find it HERE.

In other news, Kathy has decided to re-format Tim Time! These will now be regular classes and you will be making cards instead of tags. She will offer this class on the 3rd Friday evening of each month. It will be necessary to sign up for each class and bring your Basic Stampers Kit. Cost for the new classes is $15.00.

Card Kit Club is re-starting on September 10 after a one month hiatus. The format remains the same, for the details of how the club works please see THIS page.

Bird Collage Cardmaking with Stamping Basics 102

There was lots of smiles, a lot of fun and some beautiful collage cards at the Stamping Basics classes yesterday. The one card this week was created using some beautiful stamps by Hero Arts: The Bird Collage and the Simple Frame. (We sold out of them, but they are being re-ordered).
I'll let the pictures tell the story .....

The table is filled with lots of ink and lots of stamps that were needed to create our Master Boards.
From left are Evelyn, Jacquie, Barbara and Kim

There was detail coloring and precision cutting involved too.
Anne, Linda and Carol are busy creating collage magic!

There were a lot of steps to complete with this Bird Collage card.
This is Sondra's work in progress.

Another collage card in progress. Jacquie is trimming her frame panel.

I was a bit ambitious with my card designs and we only got one card completely in each 2 hour class. No worries, we'll get the other card done next time.

Here are some of the completed projects......

I love how each one is unique and reflects the individual design preferences of each card maker.

So here are some of those smiles......

Katie's card turned out awesome!

Christy and Natalie are primarily scrapbookers...they have some pretty great card-making skills too.

It's amazing they were all still smiling even after I told them that there would be homework for the next class.
Gotta love this wonderful group of stampers!

I'm sure they will all be visiting Jacqueline's photostream and blog as her beautiful work inspired my class card. We will be tackling inchies and grid cards next month....and Jacqueline will be providing my inspiration again. Thanks, Jacqueline for creating such beauty!
