Share Joy with Taylored Expressions

We hope you've been to our store recently to see some of the new lines we now carry at Stamp Fever. One of the new lines is Taylored Expressions! Below is a Fall card that DT Member Lynette made using Taylored Expressions single stamp Fall.

Lynette colored in the Fall stamp with Copics and went over the letters with Wink of Stella in Clear. You'll have to come by Stamp Fever to get a look at this card - it's even prettier in person (and you'll really see the Wink of Stella).

Stamp Fever not only loves Taylored Expressions for their wonderful, quality rubber stamps, but also their giving spirit. Share Joy is a campaign that Taylored Expresions launched this year and we are really excited to participate. Here is an excerpt from their site about their campaign:

At the heart of Taylored Expressions is a mission to share joy by helping our customers live creatively. This is by no means an original idea. Since the first greeting cards were made and exchanged back in the 15th century, the making and giving of handmade cards has been the mission of a long line of creative people who intentionally share joy through the creation of these little bits of happiness. Those of you who make and share cards can certainly attest that it brings great joy to put a smile on someone's face with a work that you created by your own hands.
And so in keeping with our mission we launched our Share Joy Campaign in July 2013.  Our first phase provided hospital chaplains with handmade cards of encouragement and celebration that they can give to patients.  After just 6 weeks we collected over 600 cards from generous cardmakers around the world!
For the next phase of our Share Joy campaign we have chosen to work with three organizations serving the homeless: Union Rescue Mission (Los Angeles), Prodigal's Home (Phoenix), and Iowa Homeless Youth Centers (Des Moines).  Jon and Taylor have been personally involved with each of these organizations over the last ten years.  As a result, they have witnessed the powerful difference handmade cards can make in the lives of homeless youth and adults.  Birthday cards, in particular, are very meaningful as Jon found out when working for Union Rescue Mission.  To read about his experience, click here.
We invite you to join us in sharing joy with hundreds of homeless youth and adults by donating your handmade birthday cards.
If you'd like to to also participate in Taylored Expressions' Share Joy Campaign, you can drop off cards at Stamp Fever and we will send them in with ours! There are a few guidelines for the card donations:
  1. A2 cards only (finished size 4.25" x 5.5"), no envelopes necessary.
  2. Theme: Birthday cards for all ages. Please do not write inside of the card but stamped sentiments are acceptable. You are welcomed to sign the back of your card donations.
  3. Taylored Expressions stamps are not required to donate to Share Joy. But TE loves to share what their customers are creating so you may be featured on the TE site if you do use their stamps!
  4. We must send in all of the cards on Friday, November 15th. Which means we need you to drop off your cards to Stamp Fever by Thursday, November 14th!
We cannot wait to see all the wonderful cards you donate and so excited to participate with Taylored Expressions in this wonderful cause.
