CHRISTMAS GLITTER CLASS

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28th             6:30 P.M.                  $20.00

We will be using Heat embossing and Stampendous Nativity Christmas stamp set for one card.  The other two cards will use, Penny Black word dies, Lexington Ornament, Costello Ornament background, Lavina Snowflake dies from Poppy, Celestial Snowflake from Memory Box and Stitched Snowflakes from Lawn Fawn  We will use Elizabeth Craft Designs double sided adhesive and "Sky" Silk Micro-fine glitter.

No embossing experience required for this class.

Supplies for this class:

Basic Stamp Kit
Foam tape
Clear drying glue such as Art Glitter
Tweezers

"OH DEER" CLASS
with Sheila 

Saturday, October 29th          10:30 a.m.          $20.00

In this class you will make three different deer themed cards, using stamps and dies from Avery Elle and Taylored Expressions.

Please bring your basic tool kit which should include, detail scissors, fine line glue and tape runner adhesive.  You will also need to bring your favorite coloring medium, such as, Copic markers, colored pencils or markers in various shades of browns, flesh tones, reds and pinks. 

I will provide Distress inks for stamping, but feel free to bring your own if you's like in shades of greens, blues, and browns.

In this class you will make (3) shaker cards. These cheerful cards are as much fun to make as they are to receive, and are surprisingly easy to make!

We will be using stamps and dies from Hero Arts, Avery Elle and Impression Obsession.

Please bring your tool kit which should also include a tape runner, fine tip glue and a coloring medium of your choice (copics, markers, or pencils...this is not a coloring class so please feel comfortable with which medium you bring)

Come and make 3 fun dog and cat cards using stamp sets from  Whipper Snapper, Neighborhood Welcome and Triple Dog Dare and Dare 2B Artzy, Ruff Day.  

I also used the stencil from Memory Box, Texture Shine.

I used Copic markers and Distress markers for these cards, however, 

you color with any color tool of  your choice.

Shop Hop Continued / Wed with Linda

WEEK 2  OF SHOP HOP 2014 Here we go! The second week of Shop Hop and the store is still "hopping"! More product has arrived; our walls were getting a bit empty. The next class is on Saturday, May 10th at 11AM  This class will focus on Dry embossing and die cutting. Not a beginner but would like to "brush" up on your paper craft skills? Choose a class that best fits your needs.  Each month Katie will help you advance your skills and confidence.

Another Love Valentine's Day Card

We're back again with a card by Robin using the same "love" die as yesterday. Again using the inlay technique for the word "Love" (Memory Box) Robin used Petallics Cover stock in a soft peachy/pink. The beautiful heart die is the Whispers-Viney Heart from Die-Versions.  Both the word love and the heart use the matte silver paper from Bazzill. The card is embellished with pearl stick ons.

We're going to be at CHA this weekend and we're very excited! We can't wait to show you the new product that we'll be carrying. Have a great weekend!

Love Valentine's Day Card

This Valentine's Day card, designed by Robin, uses Memory box dies, Petallics Cover stock pearlized paper (Beargrass) from Worldwin, matte silver paper from Bazzill and the red paper with heart/words is from Authentique Paper. Robin used the inlay technique for the word Love and the red heart is also inlayed into the Memory Box die (Silverdale Heart).  The heart is raised up using 3D foam squares and the card is finished with rhinestone stick ons.

Memory Box Ornament Card

We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Today on the blog we have a card by Linda; she's been hosting amazing make 'n takes on Wednesdays at Stamp Fever - Bag It Wednesdays.

 

 

For this gorgeous card, Linda used the Memory Box dies Classic Ornament and Lucca Ornament. The background was created using a Cuddlebug embossing folder called Snowflakes. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.

Happy Monday, crafters! We're back this week with another gorgeous card by DT Member Lynette. This simple but beautiful Christmas card is stamped with Delicata Golden Glitz pigment ink using the stamp set A Winter View by Taylored Expressions. The star die cut is from Memory Box, and to give it a little extra sparkle gold embossing powder was applied to the surface.

Spooky Tree Card

Happy Friday!

We hope you were able to stop by Stamp Fever yesterday to enjoy our free make 'n take! Today we have a card by DT Member Lynette - a spooky tree card. Keep reading to see how Lynette made her card.

Lynette used Taylored Expressions' Spooky Tree stamp set, a Memory Box Bat die, Lawn Fawn's Into the Woods patterned paper and Heidi Swapp Color Shine for her moon. The grass is punched out with a Martha Stewart Punch.

Lauren's Memory Box Projects - We Moved Card

Today we have Lauren's last project using the Memory Box stamp Spooky Mansion. One difficult thing about buying holiday themed stamps is wondering how you can use them throughout the rest of the year. Lauren's card is a great example of using a Halloween stamp in a non-Halloween way!

 

 

Lauren stamped the mansion stamp in VersaMark and embossed it in white, but didn't stamp the moon part of the stamp. It doesn't look too spooky when it's stamped and embossed in white! She used Neenah paper in white and kraft for this card and used Lawn Fawn products as well. The Stitched Journaling Card die and twine are some of Lawn Fawn's new products. The sentiment "We Moved" is also a Lawn Fawn sentiment but you could also stamp a congratulations if you know someone who just moved to a new home!

Lauren's Memory Box Projects - Trick-or-Treat Bag

The second project DT Member Lauren created using Memory Box's stamp Spooky Mansion is this fun Trick-or-Treat bag!

 

To make this mag, she used a muslin bag and Memento ink to stamp onto the bag. The Trick-or-Treat sentiment is by Lawn Fawn. The three ribbons she chose are from May Arts and layer perfectly. And there's a little touch of glitter usign Stickles around the moon of the Memory Box Spooky Mansion stamp.

 

Isn't this bag fun? It would perfect to use as goodie bags filled with candy for Halloween! Leave a comment if you have any questions for Lauren on how she made this bag.

Lauren's Memory Box Projects - Spooky Mansion

We are continuing this week to bring you inspiration on how to use your stamp sets in creative ways or maybe use the set that's themed for a certain holiday for something different! You can see all of the Design Team's work at Stamp Fever so come on by.

This week, DT Member Lauren has three projects using a set from Memory box called Spooky Mansion. The first project is a card using the spooky mansion as an actual... spooky mansion. :)

Lauren used distressing ink to color the sky and ground and alcohol markers to color in the stamp. She used dimensionals (in black!) to give the scene some depth. The moon is also outlined with Stickles to give the card a little bling. The background paper is from October Afternoon's Witch Hazel collection.

It's the final days of So Cal Shop Hop 2012

We've had so much fun and met lots of new friends at Stamp Fever while participating in Shop Hop. Everyone loved our special Secret Garden, we do feel so blessed to have that patio garden at our store.
