We will be making three cards.  Two cards use Art Impression Stamps – Pedal Pushers and Sunny Shades. The remaining card uses an Impression Obsession stamp from Lindsay Ostrom - E19720. Shirley will be teaching you how to use Glossy Accents, a three dimensional gloss medium, to accent, brighten, dimensionalize and magnify, distinct areas on your cards.

Please join me as we create this adorable mini Christmas House. We will be using the Tim Holtz Village Dwelling Die. Complete with a small tea light, this sweet little cottage is perfect for a gift or make it a part of your holiday decor.
The house is not difficult to make, but it does require a lot of gluing and drying time so plan on about two hours to complete.

I will provide all die cuts and embellishments. You will need to bring:

white pigment ink/dauber
brown distress ink/dauber
glossy accents
white craft glue
small cheap paintbrush

SHOP SMALL BUSINESS DAY

 

DOUBLE PUNCH CARD DAY!

Saturday, November 26th is SHOP SMALL BUSINESS DAY......normally, Stamp Fever is closed on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, however, this year  WE WILL BE OPEN!


Come in and shop and help support your local stamp store.  Every purchase will receive a DOUBLE PUNCH VALUE!  (if you buy $50 your punch card will get punched for $100)  this could add up pretty fast.  Think of everything you could purchase the following weekend at our Holiday Open House AND on that day get an extra discount to add to the value of your purchases!

Impression Obsession Make 'n Take

One of our LAST make 'n takes for the year. This Saturday, December 14 from 12 to 3 pm, Linda will be helping you with this beautiful Christmas card featuring Impression Obsession products for FREE! This card uses IO's Christmas Word Background stamp and Vintage Ornament Die.

Product in the Spotlight

Okay, I know today should be a Design Team Wednesday post but I thought I would shake things up a bit with a Product Spotlight post instead.

Have you ever wondered how to use the fabulous Impression Obsession Cover a Card stamps? Stamp Fever has a great selection of these versatile stamps.

Here's just a few of the Cover a Card stamps we have at Stamp Fever: clockwise from top left- Houndstooth, Herringbone, Graph Paper, and Wall Paper.

Below are some samples from the Impression Obsession website, their Design Team has done a marvelous job of showing off these hard working stamp images. Drop by their site for a visit and if you see anything you just can't live without remember you can order through Stamp Fever, just give Linda a call at 714 974-3552.

The Houndstooth stamp is used as an all-over background with a tone on tone look.

Here the Herringbone stamp is used in place of a patterned paper to allow the flower image to pop!

These 3 cards show the Wallpaper stamp used a background stamped on patterned paper (top card) and the next 2 show it  with some layered stamping....beautiful!

Here we have the Graph Paper stamp used  as a background and stamped on a smaller panel. I love how these stamps can add just the right touch of texture and pattern to keep projects from looking flat.

An all over background is a handy stamp to have in your stamp stash. These Impression Obsession Cover a Card stamps will do just that, cover a whole card background. Or stamp them out in different colors and use as you would patterned paper to add quick color and interest to all your stamped projects.

Kathy's Back!

Kathy has two classes planned for May and they are all about technique!

First up is the new theme, Thursday Techniques with Kathy! Two class class times are offered, either 11:30-1:30 or 6-8pm. As always Kathy has loaded these cards with innovative ways to use inks along with interesting combinations of stamps and embellishes. Here's a peek at the cards to kick off this great class:

Kathy's second class this month is all about a new product: Distress Markers! In this class you will get a chance to "Try it before you buy it"!

Kathy has chosen 2 beautiful new Impression Obsession stamps to show you how to wonderful results with the new Distress Markers! This class will meet on Saturday May 19 at 1:00pm. Class fee is $15.00.

Kathy will show you what all the fuss is about the distress markers as you color

these two Impression Obsession Stamped images (watering can and water pitcher)

You will also use her distress ink pads with your water color brush..Second technique.

Only things you must bring to class:::

Craft mat.....water color brush (any kind).......patience...

Kathy will have the markers and the inks, you may bring any markers if you already have some.

The images will be on watercolor paper, and you will have two of each image, also a kit to finish the images into cards.

This class will focus on techniques for using the distress markers, so you will be doing a lot of coloring.
