Rubberstamping 101 Session 2

This Saturday is session 2 of Rubberstamping 101 for those who are registered and/or attended session 1. This week we will focus on designing a card using patterned paper and stamped layers. We will also be adding details with fine point pens and white gel pens and do some die-cutting.
Here's the samples for this session:
There will be a variety of patterned paper combos to choose from for each card so that you can personalize your designs.  See you at 10 am on Saturday, April 16th. 
Supply List for this class:
Basic Stamping Kit
Paper Trimmer (12 inch preferred)
Brown and/or Black ultra fine point pens
Variety of ink colors
Dark Brown chalk or dye ink pad.

If you missed out on this series of classes, Nancy will be starting Rubberstamping 102 in July which will cover more advanced techniques for fabulous stamped designs. Get your reservations in early. Also let Linda know if you are interested in Rubberstamping 101, Nancy can repeat this series of 4 classes if enough people are interested.

1 inch, 1 1/2" circle punch
Med. hole punch,  and
Jump rings to attach the Shrinky Dinks
Jewelry Pliers
Heat Tool (for heating the shrink plastic, let Linda know if you can bring a craft heat tool )

Rubber Stamping 101

Have you wanted to try rubber stamping but just didn't know where to start? Have we got a class for you!
Rubber Stamping 101 will cover all the basics of stamping starting with paper, ink and stamps. Nancy will walk you through everything you need to know to add perfectly stamped images and designs to your cards and craft projects.
There will be 2 series of classes with 4 sessions each. The first series starts on March 19 and will continue on the 3rd Saturday for the next 3 months.

Series One will include:
  • March 19 Intro to Stamping: overview of inks, papers, and stamps
  • April 16 Basics of card design: adding layers: overview of adhesives
  • May 21 Paper-Piecing: overview of patterned papers, stamping on patterned paper
  • June 18 Distress Inks: Vintage Style and Inky backgrounds. overview of tools for ink blending.
The cost for Series One is $40.00 and it includes the kits for making 2 cards in each session and instruction sheets. Plus answers to all your stamping questions.

Series Two will begin in July and cover topics like Heat Embossing, Creating a Masterboard, Emboss Resist and Alcohol Inks. This series will run through October and will include Christmas designs and tags.
